Job summary

Cornerstone Research UK Ltd. is seeking a Manager of Staffing and Development in San Francisco. You will oversee all project staffing and professional development, collaborating with consultants, the Talent team, and firm leaders to align staffing with development goals.

You will mentor staff, lead staffing decisions for billable and non-billable work, and coordinate cross-office staffing to meet firm-wide needs. The role requires 8+ years of experience and a strong client-service mindset.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant staffing or professional services experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of and lead the project staffing process for billable and non-billable projects while accounting for specific case needs, development needs, and timing.
  • Work closely with staffing team, officers, and case managers to understand and stay on top of a rapidly changing pipeline of projects, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Ensure ongoing dialogue with case managers and advisors to align staffing decisions with skill and professional development goals.
  • Coordinate with staffing managers in other offices to ensure firm-wide staffing needs are met; when appropriate leverage staffing function with technology.
  • Train and mentors junior members within the team.

This position works closely with consultants regarding their developmental needs, interests, and objectives. The Manager, Staffing and Development identifies trends in morale, learning, and hiring needs and collaborates with consulting colleagues, the Talent team, and many corporate areas within the firm on developmental initiatives in a variety of areas. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in all eligible locations. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Cornerstone Research, we believe compensation is more than just a base salary. We offer a competitive total compensation package that includes an annual performance bonus and comprehensive benefits such as flexible options for healthcare, paid time off, and retirement savings. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.San Francisco/Silicon Valley: $94,400.00 – $132,800.00
