Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. in Dalton, GA seeks a Manager Sourcing to lead a team, plan staffing, and oversee day-to-day operations of sourcing with a focus on cost efficiency and quality. You will partner with cross-functional teams to drive value and ensure reliable material supply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
• 6-8 years' relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
• 1-3 years of management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to team according to established policies and management guidance.
• Oversee day-to-day work schedules and plans.
• Review relevant factors to analyze situations and resolve issues.
• Work with senior management to plan and develop / control budgets to ensure cost-effective operations to deliver high quality products to customers.
• Locate vendors of materials, equipment, or supplies to determine product availability and terms of sales.
• Manage supplier relations and contract compliance while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.
• Responsible for achieving defined business objectives and contributes to department KPIs.
• Conduct forecasting for raw material cost and consumption.
• Continuously analyze market and delivery conditions to ensure present and future material availability.
• Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, and Product Development to develop product specifications and source substitute and new materials.
• May handle complex problems pertaining to sourcing, purchasing, suppliers, inventory, claims, and customer relations.
• Actively involved in sourcing invectives and provide support to resolving problems.
• Work towards achieving sourcing sales and margin objectives.
• Visit suppliers and manufacturing plants to ensure product quality and service.
• Perform other duties as needed.

The Manager Sourcing is a first-level manager who leads a team by overseeing the planning, staffing, and day-to-day operations of the Sourcing function.
