Manager, Software Engineering - Front End Applications

Overview

How you can make a difference

The Manager of Software Engineering leads teams supporting multiple business domains through all stages of the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, automation, support, and monitoring. This role reports to Software Engineering leaders.

What you'll be doing
  • Manage personnel actions for your team, including hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, and performance management.
  • Take a hands-on approach by participating in code reviews, testing, monitoring, and delivery. Own the development and maintenance of your team's applications and infrastructure.
  • Develop and monitor key metrics to assess team health and software performance; drive process improvements.
  • Manage agile development processes to maximize stakeholder value with high quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA teams to ensure alignment on project deliverables.
  • Maintain technical proficiency by engaging with professional groups, training, seminars, and industry literature.
What you will need to be successful
  • 7+ years in software delivery, architecture, development, testing, and support, with 3+ years in management.
  • Experience with web application development in a multi-tenant environment, preferably using Microsoft technologies (.NET, SQL Server, messaging).
  • Enterprise experience with front-end applications using ASP.NET and Angular.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum, Kanban, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with enterprise application platforms, SDLC practices, and delivering high-quality software.
  • Collaborative mindset with a drive for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate team members, and to inspire positive organizational change.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading distributed and remote teams.
  • Commitment to high standards and delivering enterprise-quality software.

Salary Range

$127,000.00 to $165,000.00 per year
