Job Title: Manager, Software Engineering

Location: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)

Job Duties:

1. Design, develop, and modify highly specialized computer applications to enhance user efficiency and business success.
2. Build and manage multiple teams in an Agile environment, utilizing appropriate techniques and tools, and empowering teams to self-organize.
3. Collaborate on the Product Roadmap with Product Management.
4. Set goals and monitor progress against them.
5. Hire, coach, manage, and mentor geographically distributed software engineers.
6. Lead technical discussions with developers and participate in design sessions with architects, product managers, and stakeholders to design new features aligned with the product architecture.

Requirements:

1. Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Technology, or a related field.
2. Two years of experience in the job offered or a related computer occupation.
3. Experience in programming and full software development lifecycle.
4. Leadership experience on small/medium engineering teams.
5. Experience working in a highly scaled Agile environment.
6. Experience delivering technology products in a high-growth environment.
7. Knowledge of healthcare domain.
8. Experience with scalable and performant applications, including object-oriented patterns or SOLID principles.
9. Ability to analyze large volumes of data.

Salary:

$150,093 - $201,547 per year
