Job summary

The Charles Schwab Corporation in Charlotte is seeking an experienced QA/SDET for an on-site role focusing on functional and automated testing across legacy IAAS and desktop apps. You will collaborate with domain partners to ensure quality in trading workflows, and you will work with modern automation tools to test Angular front-ends and Java back-end services.

Candidates should have 6+ years in QA/SDET, strong testing skills, and 4+ years in automation; familiarity with GitHub Actions and cloud

Qualifications

• 6+ years in QA/SDET with strong functional and automated testing skills.
• 4+ years of software development or test automation experience.
• 4+ years with automation frameworks (ITAF, Selenium, REST Assured, Playwright, Cypress).
• Hands-on Angular web apps testing and Java backend services testing.
• Business understanding of Advisor trading workflows.
• Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Agile delivery, and cloud platforms.
• Production issue triage, root-cause analysis, and post-release support.
• BS/BA in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• In addition, role is bonus/incentive eligible.

What you have

To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of 'challenging the status quo,' this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

• 6+ years in QA/SDET with strong functional and automated testing skills; ability to support legacy IAAS and desktop applications required.

• 4+ years of software development or test automation experience with Java, .NET, relational databases, and preferably trading-domain applications.

• 4+ years with automation frameworks such as ITAF, Selenium, REST Assured, Playwright, Cypress, or comparable tools; ITAF preferred.

• Hands-on experience automating Angular web applications and testing Java backend services, including REST APIs, integrations, and data validation.

• Business understanding of Advisor trading/allocation workflows and ability to collaborate closely with domain business partners.

• Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Agile delivery, and cloud platforms such as PCF and GCP.

• Experience with production issue triage, root-cause analysis, release validation, and post-release support.

• BS/BA in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience; strong communication, prioritization, and collaboration skills.
