Manager, Site Performance - Remote Position

The Manager, Site Performance is responsible for improving underperforming sites within the sub-region. This role partners with regional leadership, site resources, and other teams in VAME to ensure sites operate according to standards and best practices to enhance safety, cost, and LPF performance. The role involves leading and coaching in identifying and managing intervention activities (labor, technology, and other resources) to sustainably restore sites to meet contractual availability.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure all activities at underperforming sites are executed per the Franchise Model, including proactive measures.
2. Establish effective relationships with external customers, regional leadership, site teams, New Site Startup, and VAME Technology and Operations groups.
3. Work with regional Directors and Senior Operations Managers to identify sites needing intervention and conduct due diligence to develop effective improvement plans.
4. Manage the schedule of activities and measure site improvements, deploying resources as needed.
5. Initiate Plan of the Day (POD) activities with Site Managers and key personnel to foster good daily operating habits and problem-solving skills.
6. Report weekly on site performance and recovery progress to stakeholders, based on milestones and metrics.
7. Mentor and develop Site Managers, supporting employee development, hiring, employee relations, and performance evaluations.
8. Support the development and maintenance of a safe, high-performing site culture.
9. Lead or participate in daily turbine down calls with regional leaders.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree or equivalent, or relevant wind industry experience.
• Minimum 8 years of supervisory experience, including employee performance management.
• Experience with Site Recovery or sustained performance improvement.
• Ability to lead operations with high delegation to team members.
• P&L management experience with advanced wind service knowledge.
• Knowledge of wind turbines and power plant operations, or similar industries such as hydraulic or heavy equipment maintenance.
• Experience leading field technician teams.
• Experience managing safety programs, including LOTO, Electrical, Fall Arrest, High Angle Rescue, and Confined Space.
• Ability to complete internal training and certifications (Manager Core, Leader of Others).
• Ability to manage and audit safe working conditions per Vestas and OSHA standards.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 30-50%, with the ability to obtain a passport.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software, with good data interpretation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with spare parts and inventory processes.

• Reliable attendance and physical ability to climb turbines and work in demanding conditions.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Climb stairs and ladders up to 125 meters high, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical activities like walking, standing, and bending.
• Work in confined spaces, at heights over 100 meters, and in inclement weather.
• Weight limit of 300 lbs when wearing PPE.
