Summary
The Security Regulatory & Compliance Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and overseeing administrative processes and systems supporting the Security Management Program at Maine Medical Center (MMC). This role requires a broad understanding of the healthcare security industry and ensures the security program complies with evolving regulatory standards such as The Joint Commission, CMMS, Life Safety Code, HIPAA, and other relevant standards. The manager also aligns the security program with MMC's operational needs, emphasizing a patient-centered approach.
The position involves building strong relationships with internal and external departments to foster organizational ownership of the security management plan. It oversees the outsourced parking and transportation partner, managing a budget exceeding $1.3 million annually. The manager is a key member of the Security and Parking Leadership Team and may serve as acting department Manager when necessary.
