Job summary

LA28 is seeking a Schedule Manager to lead venue-based scheduling for VNI, consolidating construction timelines across multiple teams and external partners. You will own the VIS, integrate with the master schedule, and proactively resolve conflicts to ensure on-time delivery for the Los Angeles 2028 Games.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a project scheduler.
  • Experience with infrastructure projects and/or sport and events delivery.
  • Expert knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling software.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet, SharePoint and other collaboration platforms.
  • Expert knowledge of critical path, forward and backward scheduling, resource loading, dependencies, and crashing.
  • Adept at meetings facilitation, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage VIS for assigned venues, coordinating and consolidating construction schedules from multiple areas.
  • Partner with construction schedulers for VNI contractors and suppliers to incorporate into the VIS; oversee contracted schedulers.
  • Integrate the venue schedules into the program master schedule.
  • Surface schedule and resource conflicts, report issues, and facilitate resolution.

Manager, Schedule

The Venues and Infrastructure(VNI)team plays a critical role in deliveringGames-specific temporary infrastructure forcompetition and non-competition venuesto ensure that theyare functional, innovative, and fully accessible for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. As part of the largerSport and GamesDelivery group, the VNI team ensures that all venues are designed,developed, and deliveredwith the highest standards for functionality, sustainability, and inclusion, while respecting the timeframes establishedwith the venues for the LA28 exclusive use periods.

Reporting to theSr.Mgr.,Scheduling, theScheduleManagerwillprepare and manage venue-based scheduling for VNI.TheScheduleManagerwillown thevenue integrated schedules (VIS),aconsolidation ofdelivery schedules from multiple functional areas.The Schedule Manager will also oversee thedevelopment ofconstruction schedulefor VNI temporary infrastructure and overlay.This role will require deep collaboration acrossall deliveryfunctionalareas as well asexternal stakeholders, partners, and suppliers.

The successful candidate will havecreated and managed projectschedulesforcomplexinfrastructure and/or eventsdelivery.

PhysicalRequirementsand Working Conditions
  • Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office.
  • The majority ofwork will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.
  • The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.
  • Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.
  • Perform other duties asrequired; the role will evolve
  • Support and verify operational activity status basedat the constructionsiteduring the delivery period

The annual base salary range for this position is $88,000 - $115,000. The pay scaleprovidedis the range that LA28reasonably expectsto pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensationremainssubject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
