Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Supply Chain Operations to oversee key warehousing functions and lead a team to meet customer commitments. You will guide supervisors on personnel, safety and quality, hire and develop staff, and drive operational improvements.

The role requires extensive experience in logistics, Lean/Six Sigma, ISO/AS9100 environments, and a proactive approach to safety and efficiency. A flexible schedule and strong analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and scanner equipment.
• Flexible schedule including planned and unplanned overtime, weekends.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field.
• 4 years of managerial/supervisory experience.
• Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment.
• Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge.
• Experience in warehousing or 3PL.
• Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and statistical analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers, vendors and team members to ensure commitments are met.
• Observe quality policies, establish procedures for quality objectives.
• Provide guidance to supervisors on personnel, quality and safety.
• Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively.
• Make recommendations on programs to improve operations.
• Manage equipment and coordinate maintenance with the maintenance team.
• Ensure records are maintained and reports completed timely.
• Enforce OSHA safety requirements and other standards.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

Communicate with customers, vendors and team members to ensure customer commitments are met

Demonstrate an understanding ofGXO’s quality policies; establish procedures for maintaining quality objectives

Provide guidance to supervisors with respect to personnel, quality and safety

Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively

Make recommendations on programs to improve operations

Handleequipment and coordinate all maintenance needs with the maintenance team

Ensure records are maintained appropriately and reports are completed in a timely manner

Adhere to and enforce all safe work practices, ensuring the warehouse is compliant with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other pertinent standards/regulations

What you need to succeed atGXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

4 years of relevant work experience

Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment

Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends

It’d be great if you alsohave:

Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field

4years of managerial/supervisory experience

Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment

Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience

Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL)

Ability to maintain a safe work environment by monitoring and enforcing safety procedures across all departments

Strong problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skills

This job requires the ability to:

Lift objects of various shapes,sizes,and weights

Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time

Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel

Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
