Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Forest City, NC is seeking a Senior Operations Supervisor - 1st Shift to lead warehouse operations and drive performance. You will establish schedules, train staff, manage customer relationships, and ensure adherence to safety and company standards.

This role requires 3+ years in logistics, MS Office and scanner use, and a degree in Logistics or related field; 3PL and ISO/AS9100 experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office and computerized scanner equipment
• Availability to work a flexible schedule with overtime, including weekends
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field, or equivalent experience
• 3 years of managerial/supervisory experience
• Experience in AS9100 or ISO environments
• Warehousing or 3PL experience
• Solid problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow and implement safety programs

What you’ll do on a typical day:

Establ ish work schedules, assign jobs and train staff

What you need to succeed at GXO :

At a minimum, you’ll need:

3 years of relevant experience

Experience with Microsoft Office and computerized scanner equipment

Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends

It’d be great if you also have:

Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field , or equivalent related work or military experience

3 years of managerial/supervisory experience

Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment

Warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) experience

Solid problem-solving skills

Proven ability to follow, promote and implement safety programs

This job requires the ability to:

Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights

Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time

Reach (including above your head), bend, stoop, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel

Handle or manage tools or equipment

Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
