Job summary

RXO, a leading transportation solutions provider, is seeking an Operations Manager in Dublin, Ohio. You will oversee staffing, supervise coordinators, and partner with Account Managers to drive quality service and control labor costs.

The role requires at least five years of supervisory logistics experience, a Bachelor’s in a related field, strong data analysis, and excellent communication. Travel may be required. Compensation is 85K with potential bonus or commission.

Responsibilities

• Assess and adjust staffing requirements to maintain quality service while controlling overtime and labor costs.
• Oversee supervision, mentoring, and the use of metrics and system tools.
• Coordinate policy changes and liaise between Account Managers and operations staff; investigate issues and determine root cause.
• Coordinate all procedure changes, attend quality meetings, and communicate initiatives to staff.
• Identify efficiencies and work with teams to implement improvements; maintain departmental budget.

Join us at RXO, and we’ll give you the tools and support you need to excel at your job, while building a career you’ll love.What your day-to-day will look like:Assess and adjust staffing requirements to maintain the highest possible level of quality service to our customers, while maintaining the lowest possible expenditures of overtime or excess labor expenseOversee all supervisory functions, including developing and mentoring supervisors and coordinators; ensure the regular use of metrics and system tools in conjunction with the operational metricsFunction as liaison between Account Managers and operational staff on all policy and procedure changes or implementations; investigate all significant issues to determine root cause and correction procedure, initiate incident report when necessaryCoordinate all procedure and document changes, comply with all quality policies and procedures, attend any required quality meetings, and ensure that all quality initiatives are adequately communicated to entire operational staffIdentify opportunities for process efficiencies and work with operations team and System Engineers to create specifications and implementAnalyze quantitative information and apply professional judgment to resolve issuesMaintain departmental budget and ensure compliance to it; actively participate as departmental representative in planning, scheduling, budgeting and policy development and administrationWork with HR and upper management on any disciplinary issues and institute corrective action; actively participate in the hiring and/or termination processAt a minimum, you’ll need:5 years of supervisory experience in logistics and/or transportationIt’d be great if you also have:Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Supply Chain, or a related fieldAvailability to travel occasionallyAbility to quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applicationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audienceAbility to perform complex analysis of data, processes, policies, procedures and/or systems; produce unambiguous, comprehensive, and accurate interpretationsDoes this sound like you?
