ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the Public Safety program and officers at UnityPoint Health - Des Moines to achieve quality, safety, security, service, and financial goals. Ensure a safe environment for visitors, patients, physicians, and staff. Manage the Parking Department, coordinating with DMPA and Grounds to provide a secure environment. Oversee hiring, termination, staffing, performance management, and staff development, fostering positive customer relationships and open communication. Conduct quality audits, develop improvement strategies, and maintain financial goals. Respond to all disasters and emergencies in collaboration with administrative staff.
QualificationsEDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field preferred; relevant work experience may substitute. Fluent in English.
EXPERIENCE: At least five years of security enforcement in a medical setting, with three years of direct supervision preferred.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Valid Iowa Driver's License and insurable. Certifications in AS, OC/Pepper Spray, Handcuffs, CPR, AED, and MAB required.
