Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Overview

Blair Park is seeking a Safety Manager to provide strategic leadership and oversight for all safety programs. This person will have a high visibility role within both company and customers organizations. This role is responsible for setting the long-term safety vision, collaborating with leadership and stakeholders to drive a safety culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, and managing risk across operations.

Primary Geographic Coverage

Eastern Pennsylvania, Northern New Jersey, and Delaware

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Leadership: Develop and manage safety strategies that align with corporate goals, mitigate financial and regulatory risks, and promote a culture where safety is integral to operational execution.
• Compliance & Monitoring: Track evolving health and safety regulations, integrate updates into company policies, and ensure facilities and practices align with OSHA and government standards.
• Customer & Vendor Oversight: Partner with customer safety departments to meet specific requirements, evaluate third-party contractors, and manage contractor risk programs.
• Training & Field Operations: Oversee the design and delivery of safety training programs, issue safety equipment, lead project safety groups, and conduct onsite inspections.
• Audits & Incident Management: Execute periodic compliance audits, evaluate employee and subcontractor performance, review inspection/injury/illness reports, and enforce corrective safety guidelines.
• Program Facilitation: Direct and participate in safety workshops, regular conference calls, reporting, and compliance reviews.

Qualifications

• Authorization: Work authorization in the United States for this company.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant safety supervisor experience (telecommunications or construction preferred).
• Certifications: Completion of OSHA 500 (with prerequisite OSHA 510).
• Preferred Credentials: Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead training, collaborate across organizational levels, manage multiple priorities self-directedly, and maintain a valid Driver’s License. Microsoft Office Proficient.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

• Primary standard office activities (sitting, standing, computer use for extended periods).
• Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions during site visits and inspections.
