Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Company, LLC seeks an experienced Safety Manager in Virginia to develop and implement comprehensive health and safety plans across jobsites. This full-time role requires field travel and leadership to foster a safety-first culture.

You will establish policies, train teams, assess risks, and ensure compliance with legal guidelines, with a focus on accidents prevention and data-driven reporting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Safety Manager.
• Five years Safety related experience in utility construction and/or the telecommunications industry.
• Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.
• Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies.
• Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be able to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines.
• Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of healthy and safety.
• Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
• Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
• Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations.
• Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions.
• Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes.
• Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.
• Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics.

What you’ll do
