Job summary

Corpus Christi Medical Center Bay Area is seeking an experienced Manager RN Acute Inpatient to lead nursing care in the Intensive Care unit and supervise a team of RNs, LVNs, and support staff. You will work under Medical Staff direction to ensure high-quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a BSN and current Texas RN licensure with BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications; prior management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Leadership and management experience in an acute inpatient setting.
• Current Texas RN licensure and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.
• Strong clinical knowledge across critical care and life support.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Direct Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, and other staff in the ICU.
• Assist with medical care under physician direction and hospital objectives.
• Apply growth and development principles to patient and family needs.

What will you do in the role:

• Responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance to critically ill patients.
• Provides direction to Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, and non-professional nursing personnel in providing direct patient care and in providing supervision of the Intensive Care area.
• Supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the objectives of the Hospital.
• Applies knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span to identify patient and family requirements relative to age specific needs.

What qualifications you will need:

• Previous Management experience preferred
• BSN Required
• Current Texas RN licensure American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course and Certification
• 3 years experience Required Years of Experience
