SCA Health, part of Optum, is redefining specialty care with a network of ambulatory centers and clinics across the country. We are seeking a Revenue Cycle Manager to lead process improvements, drive KPI performance, and ensure service excellence for clients, patients, and teammates.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of revenue cycle metrics including Cash Collections, AR Days, AR >90, DNFB, Denials, Unbilled Accounts, Billing Rejections, Managed Care Variances, and Collections Inventory.
  • Independently analyzes performance trends, quantifies financial impact, and develops corrective action plans.
  • Explain key revenue cycle performance drivers and financial impacts.
  • Identify root causes behind top denial categories and aging AR trends.
  • Develop and execute measurable improvement plans.
  • Hold teams accountable for results.
  • Present KPI performance and recovery strategies to operational and executive leaders.
  • Consistently demonstrate proactive leadership versus reactive management.
  • Creates a culture of continuous improvement, education, and employee engagement.

Responsibilities
  • The work schedule will be Monday - Friday with hours between 8am - 5pm EST / 7am - 4pm CST

The Revenue Cycle Manager serves as the process owner for all revenue cycle functions within the centralized business office. They are responsible for process improvement, execution of goals, meeting KPI standards, and providing service excellence to our clients, patients and teammates. This person interfaces with and presents information to clients regarding the results of the CBO’s Revenue Cycle Operations.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required; Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in business, healthcare, or related field preferred
  • Minimum two years of management/Leadership experience within all revenue cycle functions in the healthcare, medical, or ambulatory surgery center industry
  • Understanding of the various roles, responsibilities, and technical aspects of the entire revenue cycle, specifically in the healthcare, medical, or ambulatory surgery center industry
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance billing
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis, conditional formatting, and dashboard creation
  • Strong working knowledge of revenue cycle management platforms, EMR/EHR systems, claims management systems, denial management tools, collection software (e.g., Artiva), managed care applications, and internal reporting platforms
  • Ability to quickly learn and optimize new technologies to support operational excellence and KPI management
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, verbal and written
