Position Summary

SPS Commerce is seeking a Manager of Revenue Accounting to join our Global Accounting team. This newly created role will ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition under ASC606, support the monthly close process, and contribute to global cross‑functional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenue in compliance with ASC606 and company policy across global legal entities.
• Partner with Financial Reporting on technical accounting matters and related accounting activities for new contracts or partnerships.
• Drive execution of revenue accounting treatments within ERP/sub‑ledger systems across various revenue types.
• Develop and monitor robust revenue analytics with FP&A to identify discrepancies and support business decisions.
• Own month‑end and quarter‑end global close process for revenue‑related accounts, reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis.
• Maintain strong internal controls and SOX adherence within revenue accounting.
• Support preparation of disclosures and audit documentation.
• Oversight of the full revenue recognition process, partnering with the organization to ensure minimal manual intervention.
• Assist with implementation of ERP systems to ensure proper design of revenue recognition.
• Partner across global organization to resolve revenue recognition application issues.
• Assist with merger and acquisition projects, including due diligence and supporting deal decisions.
• Support post‑acquisition implementation of revenue in compliance with ASC606.
• Lead and support process improvement and systems initiatives.
• Mentor a small team to achieve revenue accounting initiatives and priorities.
• Partner with internal stakeholders such as FP&A, SOX, Financial Reporting, and Controllership teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years with SaaS companies.
• Strong experience in revenue accounting related to ASC606.
• Highly collaborative communication style and practice.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), specifically ASC606, financial controls, and other authoritative guidance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Excellent organizational skills, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
• Preferred: Public company experience; CPA preferred.

Location

Hybrid (2–3 days in‑person), based out of headquarters in Minneapolis, MN.

Salary Range:$100,00–$125,000 Base+Bonus+Equity.
