Position Purpose

The Retail Strategy Manager will support our advertising business for The Home Depot. This position will drive the program management of new business opportunities. Responsible for developing go-to-market strategies and working with the Sr. Manager to incorporate emerging opportunities into the Retail Media roadmap. This position will oversee and conduct competitor and industry research to cultivate sustainable business growth. We are seeking a manager with experience in the financial services industry that can help innovate our marketing strategies with financial partners. The Retail Media Strategy Manager is expected to make data-driven decisions that deliver foundational excellence, innovative thought leadership, and scalable processes. This is a unique opportunity to join a small, highly visible team that's reshaping digital advertising in the world's largest home improvement retailer.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Define Requirements (25%) - Strategically define business requirements, process maps, and offering documentation for new opportunities; collaborate with Product Strategy & Insights Sr. Manager to sequence opportunities on the roadmap.
  2. New Business Opportunities (35%) - Identify potential new business opportunities via review of competitive benchmarks, internal data, vendor feedback, and internal stakeholder feedback.
  3. New Offerings (15%) - Manage New Offerings Sr. Business Analyst in building out business requirements.
  4. Offering Development (25%) - Track offering development across IT, Analytics, MarTech, and other internal stakeholders.
Reporting Structure
  • This position typically reports to the Senior Manager, Product Strategy & Insights.
  • This position has 1 Direct Report.
Additional Details
  • Travel Requirements: No travel required.
  • Physical Requirements: Mostly sitting with occasional movement; light lifting may be needed.
  • Working Conditions: Indoor, comfortable environment with infrequent unpleasant conditions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the financial industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or related field.
  • Project management, business analysis, or product management certifications.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in marketing, product management, or related fields.
  • Experience with retail websites, e-commerce, analytics.
  • Proficiency with SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Data-driven mindset for making business recommendations.
  • Experience managing projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborative and able to prioritize needs across stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage deadlines across multiple projects.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of work experience.
