Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years as Retail Manager or similar role.
• 5+ years in retail/high-end fashion.
• Bachelor’s degree or master’s preferred.
• Excellent sales and upselling skills.
• Proven track record of increasing sales.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations, staff management and customer service to meet store goals.
• Set and monitor individual sales targets aligned with business objectives.
• Motivate sales staff and develop product knowledge across the team.
• Demonstrate leadership on the shop floor and drive loss prevention practices.
• Oversee events and initiatives to grow local customer base and brand presence.

Job Summary

Responsible for overall management of the store, staff, merchandise and customer service. The Retail Manager is also responsible for achieving sales objectives , maintaining and achieving high operational and merchandising standards and goals, building highly motivated teams and assisting with the development of the team .

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Set individual sales goals to ensure the goals reflect the store business goals
• Continuously motivate sale s staff to meet assign sales and productivity goals – area of responsibility
• Support the development of associates sales techniques, ensuring utilization of elevated levels of sales and service to maximise sales
• Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the product, and ensure all sales staff are fluent in all aspects of product knowledge
• Demonstrate sales leadership by playing an active role on the shop floor – leading by example
• Contribute to events/incentives that will continue to grow the customer base, with a big emphasis on building the local market

Customer Service

• Ensure all associates provide the highest level of customer service
• Ensure staff maintain constant client communication with the utilization of client books
• Manage client database and utilize information to increase sales & client contact
• Resolve all client complaints quickly and effectively, ensure good communication throughout the process
• Conduct training sessions around dealing with difficult situations , teamwork, product specific etc.
• Empower associates to make decisions in the clients best interest whilst supporting the Company’s philosophy

Operations

• Ensure facility maintenance and presentation
• Ensure cash control procedures are properly followed
• Control store expenses, maintain budgets and continually strive to reduce costs
• Schedule associates to ensure adequate cover on shop floor whilst maintaining the payroll budget
• Ensure deliveries are meticulously processed, and in a timely manner
• Create action-plan to reduce shrinkage/damaged merchandise
• Understand and properly execute management functions as set out by the Company
• Support, promote and assume responsibility for loss prevention
• Build and maintain good communications with Press, marketing - other areas of the business
• Implement, contribute and maintain merchandising strategies
• Ensure the sales floor is neat clean and organised to reflect the correct visual image at all times
• Identify and communicate product concerns in a timely manner
• Communicate inventory needs to support the business goal

Complete other duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or Resort Manager

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

• Minimum 2 year experience as a Retail Manager or a similar role.
• Should have minimum 5 year experience in Retail and high end fashion industry.
• Minimum bachelor’s degree or masters is essential.
• Excellent skills in sales and upselling.
• Should have a proven track record of progressive sales increase.
• Sound knowledge and experience in formulating sales strategies, targets/budgets, and other sales techniques.

The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner with or without a reasonable accommodation.Physical requirements include but are not limited to:

• Constant standing, walking, stooping, lifting, and bending in an operational environment
• Constant typing, looking at computer screens, speaking on a telephone, and utilizing other electronic equipment in an office environment
• Constantly required to stoop, bend, lift and carry up to 50lbs
• Often required to work in outdoor environments which may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.
