Job summary

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is seeking a Manager, Response Marketing to lead the daily operations of our offline direct response program and manage the agency of record. You will route campaigns, ensure quality control, and help grow revenue from individual donors.

You will build cross-team relationships, test new channels, and incorporate creative feedback to optimize campaigns, while supporting the AVP, Response Marketing on priorities and program needs.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in fundraising project management and marketing campaign execution, including managing agencies or vendors.
  • Knowledge of revenue generation through mail, email, and digital marketing best practices.
  • Strong organizational relationships, effective collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to create and implement tactical and strategic plans with an understanding of campaign audiences and segmentation.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • 3 years of experience leveraging customer database systems for direct marketing fundraising campaigns.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a preference for experience in writing/editing direct marketing fundraising copy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the offline direct response program, including management of the agency of record, campaign routing, oversight, and quality control.
  • Identify and test opportunities to expand the offline direct response program into new channels, formats, and audiences, helping grow awareness of Multiple Sclerosis and expand the Society's reach.
  • Drive and incorporate internal creative feedback, reviewing and editing all campaign versions.
  • Assist the AVP, Response Marketing with day-to-day priorities and program needs.
  • Build relationships and work closely with teams within Response Marketing and across other departments.
  • Coordinate production and fulfillment with external partners and vendors for cost-effective, timely campaigns.
  • Develop creative concepts and content for campaigns in partnership with other teams.
  • Incorporate surround sound tactics into direct response campaigns to extend reach across other channels.
  • Ensure fluidity across the giving pipeline running smoothly, partnering with the mid-level and major giving teams.
  • Manage the Society's tax receipt process, including data and creative.
  • Oversee mail processing and production of direct response materials working closely with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the joint cost allocation reporting process with the agency of record, reviewing and routing requested changes internally.
  • Prepare and manage the expense detail report.

Job Summary:

The Manager, Response Marketing runs the day-to-day operations of the offline direct response program, managing the agency of record relationship, routing campaigns through the review process, and providing oversight and quality control across all direct response activity. The role also supports the AVP, Response Marketing and builds relationships with teams across a large department and the broader organization to help drive revenue growth from individual donors and build a strong donor acquisition pipeline.

Location Requirements
  • Remote- Flexible Location
  • Work is primarily performed remotely, however, when possible and necessary, teams meet in person to conduct the business of the organization and build team relationships.
Compensation | Benefits:

The estimated hiring compensation range for this role is $63,000 - $70,000. Final offers will be based on the candidate'sgeographic location, consider career experience, and may vary from this range due to these and other factors.
