Job Description: Senior Accountant - Global Consolidation & Reporting

We are seeking a hands-on, system-savvy CPA to lead both global consolidation and reporting execution (50%) and support technical accounting and policy implementation (50%).

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and coordinate quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, lender reporting, and MD&A support.
  2. Oversee the global consolidation process in FCCS, including intercompany eliminations, FX validation, topside entries, and close status reporting.
  3. Act as day-to-day lead for reporting deliverables, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance with deadlines.
  4. Manage the close calendar and coordinate with global finance teams.
  5. Oversee systems for FCCS reporting and consolidation, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency.
  6. Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and external auditors on reporting, disclosures, and close processes.
  7. Implement and maintain effective controls over relevant processes.
  8. Research and develop well-supported conclusions on complex accounting issues per US GAAP and company policies.
  9. Review material contracts, perform technical research, and document accounting positions.
  10. Lead assessment and implementation of new accounting standards.
  11. Create and maintain global accounting policies for consistent application.
  12. Monitor regulatory and accounting updates for potential impacts.
  13. Assist in preparing or reviewing financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A workpapers.
  14. Collaborate with business leaders, legal teams, and auditors to resolve technical issues.
  15. Identify and drive process improvements through technology and automation.
  16. Conduct ad hoc analysis as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA required; MBA a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience, including Big 4 public accounting and corporate consolidations/reporting leadership.
  • Hands-on experience with FCCS or similar systems, including reporting and troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to lead global consolidation processes.
  • Deep technical knowledge of US GAAP, with experience drafting memos and analyzing complex transactions.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills for complex accounting issues.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across departments and levels.
  • Leadership in process improvements and automation.
  • Organized, agile, with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary range: $86,300 - $123,300, depending on skills, experience, and location. Benefits include 401k match, paid time off, health benefits, and more. Covetrus is an equal opportunity employer.
