Atrium Health's Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center – Outpatient Rehabilitation: Pediatrics: Miller is seeking a full-time physical or occupational therapist to join the pediatrics team. The role requires a bachelor’s degree, current licensure, and BLS CPR.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, with relocation assistance up to $7,500 for qualified candidates. The successful candidate will manage daily operations, supervise staff, develop evidence-based guidelines, and ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited physical or occupational therapy program.
• Current licensure in the applicable state.
• CPR certification in Basic Life Support, Level C.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to hospital standards and promote teamwork through communication and collaboration.
• Manage daily operations and ensure efficient resource utilization to meet client needs and budgets.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Director to operate the department and optimize budgeted expectations.
• Lead staff growth by hiring, supervising, and completing evaluations on time.
• Improve processes to enhance quality and efficiency and report outcomes.
• Provide patient care assessment and establish treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Promote professional development and representation on committees.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, staff, and external customers.
• Provide age-appropriate care using growth and development data.

What You'll Need

What You'll Do

• Adhere to general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment using communication skills, interpersonal relationships, and team building. Follow hospital and departmental policies and procedures, contribute to overall service quality, and stay informed about policy changes.
• Manage daily operations and ensure efficient resource utilization to meet client needs and budgetary expectations.
• Collaborate with other managers and the Clinical Director to assist with operation of the Physical/Occupational Therapy department, understand budgeted expectations, and use resources to achieve goals.
• Lead staff growth by hiring, supervising, and evaluating staff, and complete all performance evaluations by their due dates.
• Improve processes to optimize quality and efficiency, develop evidence‑based guidelines, and systematically collect and report quality outcome measures to advance care quality.
• Provide patient care assessment and treatment, interpreting evaluation results and establishing realistic treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all internal and external professional and regulatory agency standards.
• Promote professional development and education of other health care workers and represent on committees.
• Communicate effectively, informing the Clinical Director of issues and resolutions, and communicate professionally and timely with patients, physicians, staff, and external customers.
• Provide appropriate patient care in accordance with age/developmental guidelines, demonstrate age‑specific knowledge, use developmental data in assessment, interpret developmental responses accurately, and maintain competence by regularly updating knowledge of growth, development, and aging.
