Job summary

JLL is seeking a Manager to lead the Occupancy Planning and Management team in Raleigh, overseeing daily operations and guiding staff to deliver space planning, portfolio management, and move coordination for real estate clients.

You will work with the Account Director to deliver occupancy planning products and tools, build relationships across teams, and ensure reporting supports Corporate Real Estate decisions.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience supervising a team and scheduling work.
• Strong communication and ability to explain procedures clearly.
• Experience coaching team members and maintaining schedules.
• Full knowledge of occupancy planning and management practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read and work with floorplans.
• Understanding of business policies within your area.
• Relevant experience in occupancy planning, space management or facility management.
• University degree or relevant certification preferred.

We are looking for a Manager to join our Occupancy Planning and Management team

What this job involves:

Day-to-Day Team Leadership

You will oversee a team within our Occupancy Planning & Management work group, assigning tasks, maintaining schedules, and ensuring work is performed according to established procedures and quality standards. Your focus will be on daily operations while supporting your team members' development and performance.

Delivering Client Solutions

Work closely with your Account Director to deliver JLL's Occupancy Planning & Management products, solutions, and tools. You'll apply your knowledge of our processes and policies to guide your team in supporting real estate clients with space planning, portfolio management, and move coordination.

Building Relationships

Foster productive working relationships within your immediate team and with other work groups. You'll communicate effectively with functional peer groups and support coordination among various JLL teams to ensure successful outcomes for clients.

Managing Spaces and Data

Oversee the preparation and accuracy of project status reports, seat demand tracking, space capacity analysis, and inventory forecasting. Ensure your team maintains attention to detail in floorplan reviews, spatial planning, and migration plans.

Problem Solving and Guidance

Resolve operational problems as they arise within your team, working within established policies and procedures. Escalate more complex issues as appropriate while providing day-to-day guidance to your direct reports.

Reporting and Communication

Create clear, accurate planning reports to support Corporate Real Estate decision-making. Present information in a professional manner to your team, manager, and client contacts, ensuring everyone understands progress, challenges, and next steps.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Leadership Experience
  Demonstrated ability to supervise a team, assign work, and monitor progress
  Strong communication skills with the ability to explain procedures and priorities clearly
  Experience coaching team members and maintaining schedules
• Functional Knowledge
  Full knowledge of occupancy planning and management practices
  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, cell calculations) and PowerPoint
  Ability to read and work with floorplans
  Understanding of business policies and procedures within your area
• Organizational Skills
  Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially with numbers and spatial data
  Ability to maintain budgets and operate within an operating plan
  Capable of managing multiple priorities and ensuring timely completion of work
• Problem-Solving Ability
  Comfortable resolving routine operational problems independently
  Knows when to escape issues, and seek guidance from more senior colleagues
  Uses established procedures to guide decision‑making
• Interpersonal Skills
  Professional and responsive with clients and team members
  Able to build rapport and work collaboratively across teams
  Comfortable interating with direct reports and functional peer managers
• Education and Experience
  Relevant experience in occupancy planning, space management, facility management, or related field
  University degree or relevant certification preferred
  Prior supervisory or team lead experience is a plus

Expected compensation for this position:

119,200.00 - 155,000.00 USD per year

Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
