Job summary

JLL is seeking a Manager for the Occupancy Planning and Management team to lead daily operations, guide a project-focused group, and deliver space planning and portfolio management for real estate clients.

You will oversee floorplan reviews, migration plans, and data accuracy while coaching team members to meet schedules and quality standards. Strong Excel and Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in occupancy planning, space management, facility management, or related field.
  • University degree or relevant certification preferred.
  • Prior supervisory or team lead experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team within the Occupancy Planning & Management work group, assign tasks, maintain schedules, and ensure quality.
  • Collaborate with Account Director to deliver occupancy planning solutions and move coordination.
  • Build relationships within teams and with client contacts to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Manage project status reports, seat demand tracking, space capacity analysis, and forecasting.
  • Resolve operational issues and provide day-to-day guidance to direct reports.
  • Create clear planning reports for Corporate Real Estate decision-making.

We are looking for a Manager to join our Occupancy Planning and Management team

What this job involves:
Day-to-Day Team Leadership
  • You will oversee a team within our Occupancy Planning & Management work group, assigning tasks, maintaining schedules, and ensuring work is performed according to established procedures and quality standards. Your focus will be on daily operations while supporting your team members' development and performance.
Delivering Client Solutions
  • Work closely with your Account Director to deliver JLL's Occupancy Planning & Management products, solutions, and tools. You'll apply your knowledge of our processes and policies to guide your team in supporting real estate clients with space planning, portfolio management, and move coordination.
Building Relationships
  • Foster productive working relationships within your immediate team and with other work groups. You'll communicate effectively with functional peer groups and support coordination among various JLL teams to ensure successful outcomes for clients.
Managing Spaces and Data
  • Oversee the preparation and accuracy of project status reports, seat demand tracking, space capacity analysis, and inventory forecasting. Ensure your team maintains attention to detail in floorplan reviews, spatial planning, and migration plans.
Problem Solving and Guidance
  • Resolve operational problems as they arise within your team, working within established policies and procedures. Escalate more complex issues as appropriate while providing day-to-day guidance to your direct reports.
Reporting and Communication
  • Create clear, accurate planning reports to support Corporate Real Estate decision-making. Present information in a professional manner to your team, manager, and client contacts, ensuring everyone understands progress, challenges, and next steps.
Leadership Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise a team, assign work, and monitor progress
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain procedures and priorities clearly
  • Experience coaching team members and maintaining schedules
Functional Knowledge
  • Full knowledge of occupancy planning and management practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, cell calculations) and PowerPoint
  • Ability to read and work with floorplans
  • Understanding of business policies and procedures within your area
Organizational Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially with numbers and spatial data
  • Ability to maintain budgets and operate within an operating plan
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and ensuring timely completion of work
Problem-Solving Ability
  • Comfortable resolving routine operational problems independently
  • Knows when to elevate issues and seek guidance from more senior colleagues
  • Uses established procedures to guide decision-making
Interpersonal Skills
  • Professional and responsive with clients and team members
  • Able to build rapport and work collaboratively across teams
  • Comfortable interacting with direct reports and functional peer managers
Education and Experience
  • Relevant experience in occupancy planning, space management, facility management, or related field
  • University degree or relevant certification preferred
  • Prior supervisory or team lead experience is a plus

Expected compensation for this position:

119,200.00 - 155,000.00 USD per year

Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
