Job summary

Shiseido Americas is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to partner with FP&A, drive budgeting, forecasting and controls, and provide actionable reporting to improve region profitability. You will supervise a Senior Finance Analyst and an Analyst, work on cross-functional regional projects, and help standardize processes.

The role is based in New York with a hybrid work model and a comprehensive benefits program. 5–7 years of finance experience and a 4-year Finance/Accounting degree are required.

Qualifications

• Strong prioritization, team building, communication and collaboration skills.
• Advanced financial, analytical and technical skills.
• Very organized, detail oriented, and able to work under tight timelines.
• Expertise in financial forecasting/analysis, PL/BS review, budgeting and financial planning.
• Requires a 4-year degree in Finance/Accounting and 5–7 years of experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred; beauty/retail industry experience is a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint; SAP and BPC are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report financial results on time & accurately.
• Perform monthly variance analysis and review results with FP&A teams.
• Complete HQ reporting package with variance commentary.
• Prepare Quarterly KPMG Audit Commentary.
• Assist and manage Region Forecasting to align with Plan on sales and profit.
• Prepare Monthly Risk and Opportunities analysis for Exec Mgmt.
• Review Plan and Latest Estimates with Senior Management.
• Lead region initiatives and cross-functional projects.
• Drive process improvement and standardization.
• Assist integration of new businesses including scenario P&Ls and cost tracking.
• Supervise Senior Finance Analyst and Analyst.

Job Summary:

Assist Management in achieving its Sales and Operating Profit target through effective Budgets & Forecasts, Control of Expenses & Assets, and Reporting & Analysis. Partner with FP&A teams to continuously drive process standardization and improvement, internal controls and compliance across the region. Provide and enhance reporting and analysis to help manage region profitability and assist strategic decision‑making.

What You Will do:

• Report financial results on time & accurately
• Perform monthly variance analysis and review results with FP&A teams to understand variance drivers and assess R&Os
• Complete HQ reporting package with commentary on variances
• Prepare Quarterly KPMG Audit Commentary
• Assist and manage Region Forecasting processes to ensure in line with Plan in terms of sales and profit
• Prepare Monthly Risk and Opportunities analysis for Exec Mgmt
• Perform analytical review for the total region forecasts and work with FP&A teams to understand variance drivers and R&Os
• Review Plan and Latest Estimates with Senior Management
• Key Member of region initiatives and projects
• Continuously drive process improvement and standardization
• Key player in cross-functional projects for the region
• Other projects as requested by management
• Assist integration of new businesses including building scenario P&Ls and tracking of synergies and one‑time costs.
• Supervise (1) Senior Finance Analyst and (1) Analyst

Who You Are:

• Strong prioritization, team building, communication and collaboration skills
• Strong financial, analytical and technical skills
• Must be very organized, detail oriented and able to work under tight timelines
• Expertise in financial forecasting/analysis, PL/BS review, Budgeting, and Financial Planning Process
• 4-year Degree in Finance/Accounting required.
• 5-7 years’ experience in Finance/Accounting
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Experience in Beauty/Fashion/retail industry preferred, but not required.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint. Knowledge of BPC and SAP preferred

The base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job‑specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as components of a total compensation package, including participation in our bonus program which features the ability to overachieve, in addition to a full range of competitive benefits.
