Job summary

TOPS Products LLC in New Jersey is seeking a Manager of Raw Materials Planning to ensure manufacturing runs smoothly by aligning material availability with production schedules and maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• 5+ years in material planning, supply planning, or related roles.
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills; able to solve problems and make decisions.
• Ability to collaborate across Procurement, Manufacturing, Operations, and Finance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage raw-material requirements to support manufacturing and production schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure materials are available when needed.
• Identify potential material shortages, supplier constraints, and other supply risks.
• Develop plans to prevent or minimize production disruptions.
• Establish and maintain safety stock, reorder points, lead times, and planning parameters.
• Analyze inventory and usage trends to reduce excess/obsolete materials.
• Coordinate with Procurement and suppliers on material availability, lead times, capacity and delivery performance.
• Partner with Manufacturing and Ops to adapt to changing production priorities.
• Support new products, material changes, and sourcing initiatives.

Manager, Raw Materials Planning

We are seeking a Manager, Raw Materials Planning to join our Procurement team. This position is responsible for ensuring our manufacturing operations have the right raw materials available at the right time while maintaining appropriate inventory levels and minimizing shortages and excess inventory.

This role will work closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and suppliers to forecast material needs, manage inventory, identify potential supply risks, and support production requirements.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Procurement, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in material planning, supply planning, procurement, inventory management, or a related supply-chain role.
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems; Microsoft D365 experience is a plus.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work effectively across Procurement, Manufacturing, Operations, and Finance.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Leadership or team management experience preferred.
