Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Baltimore, MD seeks a Quality Manager 2 to lead quality evaluation and control activities across materials and finished products, partnering with engineering and manufacturing to uphold standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's with 8+ years in quality or manufacturing (Master's with 6+) and leadership of unionized teams; ability to obtain a Secret clearance; US citizenship; extensive experience with ISO 9001/AS9100 and quality processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of quality or manufacturing experience; Master’s Degree with 6 years of quality or manufacturing experience.
  • 3 or more years of experience leading personnel in a quality or manufacturing team environment.
  • Experience leading and/or managing union employees.
  • Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience.
  • Experience working with Government agencies.
  • Experience with Quality Management System (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.) certification process.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
  • Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
  • Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
  • Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
  • May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Quality Manager 2 to join our team based out of our Baltimore, MD location.

What You\'ll Get To Do

Basic Qualifications For The Manager Quality 2
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of quality or manufacturing experience; Master\'s Degree with 6 years of quality or manufacturing experience.
  • 3 or more years of experience leading personnel in a quality or manufacturing team environment.
  • Experience leading and/or managing union employees.
  • Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience.
  • Experience working with Government agencies.
  • Experience with Quality Management System (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.) certification process.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • US Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experienced with dispositioning hardware for quality related issues in a manufacturing facility.
  • Experienced with Material Review Board (MRB) process.
  • Experienced with electrical or mechanical design requirements and specifications.
  • Experienced in Quality and Mission Excellence applications.
  • Green/Black Belt Certified in Lean Six-sigma.
  • Experienced in Data Analytics and Statistical Analysis methods and techniques.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Minitab, Tableau, or equivalent tools for statistical analysis.
  • Experienced with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) techniques.
  • Experienced with Quality Notifications, Production Orders and Purchase Orders.
  • Experienced working knowledge of inspection tools, methods and techniques used for hardware reviews, validation, and inspections.
  • Working experience of SAP, ISE, and CADSTAR.
  • Experience with ISO9001 or AS9100 Quality Management System and AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAI).

Primary Level Salary Range: $127,100.00 - $190,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\'s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
