Job summary

ATC Drivetrain seeks a seasoned Quality Manager to oversee the Quality Management System, leading Quality Engineers and Supervisors to meet internal and external requirements. You will drive metrics, coordinate with customers and suppliers, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001.

In this role you will mentor cross-functional teams, manage up to 25 staff, and represent ATC in customer visits and supplier relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with related experience.
• Experienced in Tier 1 & Tier 2 Automotive and ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive root-cause analysis.
• Supervisory experience of up to 25 staff in Quality Engineering and Reject Repair.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements closed loop warranty analysis system for quick data access.
• Leads analysis team to identify root causes and reduce warranty expense and defects.
• Reviews analysis results with customer counterparts to ensure ownership of root causes.
• Drives improvement actions through product teams using analysis data.

Summary

Responsible for managing a Quality Management System designed to monitor and measure effectiveness of business and production processes to meet internal/external customer requirements. Leads Quality Engineers and Quality Supervisors in efforts to develop, communicate, and implement metrics to meet business and program objectives. Key stakeholder representing ATC in customer and supplier relations related to quality and service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designs and implements closed loop, integrated, warranty analysis system utilizing current levels of technology that provides quick and efficient access to warranty data by all.
• Provides the leadership for the analysis team to achieve a high rate of root cause identification in warranty product to reduce the warranty expense and quantity of no trouble found results.
• Reviews analysis results with customer counterparts to ensure that the root cause ownership is appropriately defined.
• Utilizing data obtained from the analysis process drives improvement actions through the appropriate product team.
• Develops close working relationships with key customer counterparts.
• Responsible for development and adherence to the policies, procedures and instructions of the Quality, MMOG and ISO 14001 systems.
• Committed to a safe and accident-free work environment.
• Product/Model PCP (Process Control Plan) development and maintenance.
• Facilitate cross-functional Preventative & Corrective action plans based on internal and external quality results. (Yield, Warranty and or customer PPM) failure analysis on customer returns to ensure quick turnaround time and responsiveness.
• Mentor cross-functional teams (Process/Product Improvement teams) teams for effective root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action. This position will include the training of other groups on a routine basis.
• Coordination of customer visits.
• QA portion of APQP (PPAP) on product launches.
• Resolving critical issues/situations ensuring that they are handled correctly and within current policy/procedure guidelines.
• Quality representative in Lean activities.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages and directly supervises Quality Engineers and Quality Supervisors with a total of up to 25 non-supervisory employees in the Quality Engineering and Reject Repair departments. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizational chart, company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experienced in Tier 1 & Tier 2 Automotive, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and Customer/Supplier relationships.
