Job summary

Valley Springs Behavioral Hospital is seeking a leader to manage daily department operations and align with organizational goals in Holyoke, MA. This role supports care interfaces with patients and staff, and fosters professional growth across the team.

Responsibilities include budgeting, regulatory compliance, and coordinating patient care with physicians and departments. A Bachelor's Degree and BLS certification are preferred and may be substituted with related experience.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education.
  • Certifications: BLS.

  • Develops specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives supporting the strategic plan.
  • Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, scheduling, payroll, and student engagements.
  • Monitors budgets, regulatory compliance, contracts, and vendor relations; justifies needs for systems/equipment purchases.
  • Coordinates patient care with patients, staff, physicians and other departments; may provide patient care when necessary.

Pay Range: $30.20 - $40.77

How You'll Contribute

Manages the daily operations of the assigned department or function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
  • Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
  • Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and or stock supplies.
  • Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. May provide patient care when necessary.
  • Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
