Finance Manager - Investments | Renewable Energy

Our client is a mid-size utility-scale solar, storage, and wind developer headquartered in Durham, NC. Backed by a leading European renewable energy private equity firm, the business is well capitalized and is at an exciting inflection point as it pushes toward becoming a fully-fledged IPP.

The Role

The business is hiring a Finance Manager (Investments) who will report to the SVP of Investments. This individual will manage end-to-end transaction workstreams - from capital raises and investor RFPs through to acquisitions and closing - while maintaining the financial models that underpin the business. You'll work cross-functionally with Construction, Development, Legal, FP&A, and Accounting, and interface directly with external counterparties including lenders, tax equity investors, and advisors.

What You'll Do

• Lead project debt and tax equity capital raise processes; RFPs, term sheet negotiations, investor Q&A, and legal documentation
• Manage corporate financing transactions and existing credit facilities
• Screen acquisition opportunities, support structuring and pricing, and manage due diligence through to close
• Build, review, and maintain complex financial models across a range of capital structures
• Prepare board presentations and financial analyses to support strategic decision-making
• Guide analysts on financial modelling and transaction workstreams

Candidate Criteria

• 4–6 years in finance, with some experience in renewable energy or power markets
• Background at a utility-scale developer, investment bank, or similarly transaction-focused firm
• Strong working knowledge of project finance tools - construction debt, term loans, tax equity, and tax credit transfer
• Confident financial modeler with sharp analytical instincts and attention to detail
• A self-starter who takes ownership, works well under pressure, and thrives in a fast-moving environment
