Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector seeks a Manager 2, Program Planning, to lead a team of Scheduling Analysts onsite in Melbourne, FL. The role oversees IMS development, performance reviews, and cross-functional coordination to meet program objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 7 years of Planning & Scheduling, Program Cost Schedule Control, Finance, Pricing, Program/Project Management, or Engineering Scheduling experience; OR Master’s degree with 5 years of Planning & Scheduling, Program Cost Schedule Control, Finance, Pricing, Program/Project Management, or Engineering Scheduling experience OR Associate's Degree with 9 years of Planning & Scheduling, Program Cost Schedule Control, Finance, Pricing, Program/Project Management, or Engineering Scheduling experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 11 years of Planning & Scheduling, Program Cost Schedule Control, Finance, Pricing, Program/Project Management, or Engineering Scheduling experience
  • Experience with the Assessment (SRA) approach and execution
  • Knowledge of Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development; Schedule Risk
  • Experience and knowledge in Earned Value Schedule Management
  • Must have an active US Government secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or STEM, EV Cost, MS Project Server experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Program Planning & Scheduling Analysts
  • Perform mid-year and year-end performance reviews
  • Develop direct team knowledge and depth
  • Prepares, develops and coordinates the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet all program objectives
  • Ensures program schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated
  • Effectively facilitates upward and downward two-way communication across all levels
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees, management, and executive leadership
  • Provides weekly status and reporting
  • Conducting Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) and Joint Surveillance Reviews (JSR) audits
  • Implements scheduling best practices as prescribed by industry to include DCMA 14-point, IPMR DI-MGMT-81861, NDIA EIA-748 32 Guidelines, EVMS, CPM, SRA, Schedule Performance and Health Metrics and Analysis
  • Ability to perform detailed schedule, resource, work, and cost analysis and make recommendations to solve problems
  • Ability to create presentation content and present to various levels of leadership
  • Ability to effectively work with multiple functional teams, supplier teams, and the Program/Project Manager
  • Ability to travel ~20% of the time

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking a Manager 2, Program Planning on our Schedule Management team. This leadership position is onsite in Melbourne, FL.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Program Planning & Scheduling Analysts

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
