Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in the United States seeks an experienced Operations Executive to manage cost, schedule and technical performance on manufacturing programs. Lead the Operations team, coordinate with PMO, MA, GSC and Engineering, and drive improvements across the production lifecycle.

Responsibilities include master production scheduling, budget adherence via EVMS, risk management, and ensuring contract scope alignment with change controls. Secret clearance is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant work experience in engineering, manufacturing or business management.
  • Alternatively, 6+ years with a Master's degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Manufacturing Operations team on projects and maintain day-to-day interface with partner functions.
  • Comprehend and report Manufacturing Operations status to the Program Manager and executives.
  • Serve as lead for Manufacturing Operations proposal development activities.
  • Ensure resources are available and allocated to execute assigned programs.
  • Develop and adhere to master production schedules and budgets using EVMS.
  • Identify, mitigate, and realize risks; manage change through the change control board.

Identify and resolve issues impacting performance objectives.Development of and adherence to master production schedules.Development of and adherence to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) techniques.Implement thorough risk & opportunity management practices, including identification, mitigation, and realization.Ensure the Operations team understands and adheres to the contract scope and manages change through control board activities.Basic Qualifications for the Manager Production Operations 2 - OEM:A Bachelor's degree and 8 or more years of relevant work experience in engineering, manufacturing or business management or 6 or more years of relevant work experience in engineering, manufacturing or business management with a Master's degree.Experience leading projects in an operations-focused program or management role (e.g., Operations Program Manager or comparable position).Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement.Experience with SAP/ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance per business requirements (US citizenship required).Preferred Qualifications for the Manager Production Operations 2 - OEM:Experience with development and maintenance of Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).Experience with data mining/manipulation software tools.Experience representing manufacturing as a subject matter expert at Non-Advocate Reviews / Independent Cost Evaluations (NARICE).Experience with Post-Production Support activity including managing repair activity.Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) Investigation type activities and/or Continuous improvement techniques.#MPRMANUMS#MFGCMPPrimary Level Salary Range: $139,800.00 - $209,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
