Job summary

Raytheon seeks a Depot Production Control Lead for the Tucson airport site to drive material flow, production coordination and BOM accuracy in a secure, on-site role. You will ensure timely material availability and resolve production issues while coordinating with quality, engineering and manufacturing teams.

The position requires strong leadership, planning and MRP experience, with eligibility for interim/secret clearance.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent with 5–8 years relevant experience.
  • Advanced degree in related field with 5+ years experience.
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, production control, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, or logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead depot production control in Tucson at the airport site.
  • Evaluate and coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production/customer requirements.
  • Evaluate and status the assemblies that are in progress, material availability, and potential shortages or delays.
  • Solve production problems to ensure personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
  • Control and analyze Bills of Material in an MRP system.
  • Confirm material supply demand and prepare necessary work orders based on shop load and inventory requirements.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental activities with QA, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering.
  • Coordinate material movement between warehouse, labs/production areas, and customers.
  • Manage material of explosive components from procurement through disposal.
  • Work with engineers on BOM accuracy and real-time updates.
  • Interface with internal customers including Engineering Whole Life Group, Program, and Factory management.
  • Participate in projects/teams to accomplish continuous improvement – CORE.

You will need to be on-site for most of the time for this position. This is an onsite role in Tucson Arizona.


What You Will Do


  • Lead depot production control in Tucson at the airport site.

  • Evaluate and coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production/customer requirements.

  • Evaluate and status the assemblies that are in progress, material availability, and potential shortages or delays.

  • Solves any potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.

  • Control and analysis of multiple and moderate complexity, Bills of Material in an MRP system.

  • Confirm material supply demand and prepares necessary work orders based on shop load and inventory requirements.

  • Coordinate interdepartmental activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering.

  • Coordinating material movement between warehouse, Labs/production areas, and customers.

  • Material management of explosive components from procurement through installation or disposal processes.

  • Work with the engineers on Bill of Material accuracy and real-time updates.

  • Interface with internal customers; including Engineering Whole Life Group, Program, and Factory management as required.

  • Participates in projects and or teams to accomplish continuous improvement – CORE.


Qualifications You Must Have


  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or

  • An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience.

  • Experience to include planning, scheduling, production control, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, logistics, or other production driven experience.

  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems.

  • Experience leading daily team operations and/or comparable leadership experience.

  • Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.


Qualifications We Prefer


  • Experience in planning and production control in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with a proven track record of lean or six sigma project implementations.

  • Experience with Wave track and in Material and Inventory Control-type systems such as Kanban, SMI, Continuous Flow Manufacturing.

  • Experience working with MS Office applications.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD.


Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.


This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
