Job summary

Sphera Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to translate business needs into technical requirements for the HMMS Suite. You will work with stakeholders across departments, document requirements, and drive data-driven decision making. Travel may be required and a strong background in DoD-related projects is a plus.

The role emphasizes leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering end-to-end solutions with a focus on risk and compliance in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a technology related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Strong leadership and supervisory experience.
• Experience with data analysis and market research to develop ROI analyses.
• Experience with project development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Understand overall business vision with key stakeholders and translate into actionable objectives.
• Serve as a conduit between business and technical teams by translating needs into requirements.
• Document requirements from multiple stakeholders and conceptualize solutions.
• Analyze current systems and processes to assess impact of changes and introduce new solutions.
• Collaborate with business owners, sales, QA, and development teams.
• Develop and provide product presentations and training to customers.

Key Requirements

• U.S. Citizen
• Ability to verify U.S. employment eligibility using Form I-9
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance and Common Access Card
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a technology related field. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for education.
• Minimum 10+ years’ experience in a software organization, preferably in software development.
• Ability pass a drug test
• Six-month trial/probationary period may be required.

• Advanced knowledge of MS Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to assess product opportunities through market research and client feedback to develop market sizing, pricing, costing, and ROI analysis.
• Experience with project development methodology (i.e.. Agile, Waterfall, Extreme) preferred.

Major Duties

• Work with key project stakeholders and the customer to understand the overall business vision for a project and translate that into actionable objectives.
• Provide a communication conduit between the business and technical community by interpreting and translating business needs into technical requirements.
• Comprehend and document requirements from multiple stakeholders and conceptualize solutions.
• Develop deep understanding of current systems and processes and analyze impact of changes as new solutions are introduced to the environment.
• Collaborate directly with business owners, sales, QA, and development teams.
• Collaborate with other BSAs to manage inter-dependencies across the product suite.
• Assist in developing and validating test plans.
• Develop and provide product presentations and/or training to existing customer, and potential customers.

Specific Job Duties

• Have a working knowledge of Sphera’s HMMS Suite application.
• Be effective in problem solving.
• Coordinate work with software developers, QA and project teams in drafting User Stories and related documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Travel may be required.
