Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in product delivery, agile delivery, business analysis, project/program management, or related disciplines.
• 3+ years directly leading or managing delivery staff: Product Owners, Business Analysts, Project Managers, or Scrum teams.
• Proven ability to drive predictable delivery across multiple teams; manage cross-team dependencies and risks.
• Deep expertise in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), backlog management, and project/program management.
• Experience partnering with product management and engineering to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Manager, Product Delivery leads the delivery functions within the Product Management team, guiding Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Project Managers as they translate product strategy into shipped and adopted outcomes. This role develops delivery talent, establishes delivery and project-management standards, governs demand and capacity across competing priorities, and removes organizational barriers to execution. While Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Project Managers manage day-to-day delivery activities, the Manager is accountable for the people, operating standards, and capacity model that enable predictable execution across the portfolio. Success is measured through team performance, talent development, delivery predictability, and business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

People Leadership & Team Development:

• Directly manage and develop Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Project Managers, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and career progression along established role ladders; build bench strength and succession within each discipline.
• Allocate people to product pods and initiatives, balancing capacity, skills, and priority across the portfolio; resolve competing resource demands with Product Managers and the Sr. Director.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the delivery team.

Delivery Execution & Operating Rhythm:

• Set and uphold delivery standards across teams, including operating cadences, agile ceremonies, and release practices; establish clear accountability for adherence to delivery expectations and reliable execution.
• Manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and escalations, unblocking systemic impediments individual Product Owners cannot resolve alone.
• Monitor backlog health, sequencing, throughput, and quality across teams; identify delivery or capability risks and intervene as appropriate.

Demand, Intake & Capacity Governance:

• Own a single, governed intake path for new work, enhancements, and unplanned requests, with clear prioritization and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain a capacity and allocation model across pods; make and communicate trade-off decisions regarding delivery commitments based on capacity, priority, and business impact.
• Triage, size, and absorb unplanned work — injections, escalations, production support — without derailing committed delivery; enforce WIP limits.
• Use demand-versus-capacity visibility to drive hiring, sequencing, and prioritization decisions.

Project & Program Management:

• Own the project-management practice and lead Project Managers who plan, schedule, and govern cross-team and enterprise initiatives, setting the standard rather than running projects personally.
• Ensure every initiative has clear scope, milestones, resource plans, and risk/dependency management; hold Project Managers accountable to committed timelines and budgets.
• Maintain accountability for execution against delivery commitments across the portfolio, providing leadership with clear visibility into status, risks, dependencies, and required trade-offs.

Standards, Process & Continuous Improvement:

• Define and uphold shared standards, templates, and tooling for backlog management, requirements/functional design, and project management across the disciplines.
• Identify and drive improvements — including AI, automation, and process redesign — that increase delivery efficiency, visibility, and quality; build the case and lead adoption.
• Define and track delivery and project KPIs; use data to drive continuous improvement and report outcomes.

Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Leadership:

• Partner as a peer with Product Managers, aligning product direction with delivery capacity and execution, and translating roadmaps into staffed, sequenced, deliverable plans.
• Interface with engineering, architecture, Integrations, UX, operations, and business stakeholders to remove barriers and align on commitments.
• Represent the delivery function to senior leadership; communicate status, trade-offs, risks, and decisions clearly.

Position Requirements:

Formal Education & Certification:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Agile, product, or project-management certification (e.g., CSM, CSPO, SAFe, PMP, PMI-ACP) preferred.

Knowledge & Experience:

• 8+ years of progressive experience in product delivery, agile delivery, business analysis, project/program management, or related disciplines supporting software or digital products.
• 3+ years directly leading or managing delivery staff: Product Owners, Business Analysts, Project Managers, or Scrum teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Demonstrated ability to drive predictable delivery across multiple teams or a product line, managing cross-team dependencies, risk, and escalations.
• Deep expertise in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), backlog management, and project/program management disciplines.
• Experience partnering with product management and engineering to deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Preferred: experience with enterprise platforms, customer/vendor portals, integrations, APIs, or data products; background in fuel, logistics, supply chain, or another B2B operations environment.

Work Environment & Travel:

• This position follows a hybrid work schedule of three days in the office and two days remote, business conditions permitting. Eligibility for the hybrid work schedule begins after successful completion of the ninety-day introductory period, during which training will occur onsite.
• Must be willing to work flexible or extended hours as necessary during critical implementations, incidents, or other business needs, which may include nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform prolonged computer-based work and review detailed information on screens and documents.
