Job description

ABOUT ELM

Elm Biosciences is a clinically advanced skincare company co-founded by Martha Stewart and board-certified dermatologist Dr. Dhaval Bhanusali. After five years of R&D, we launched in September 2025 with a minimal, high-efficacy routine built on our patent-pending A3O Complex, a triple-pathway anti-senescent antioxidant. A 350+ member dermatologist advisory board helped shape the brand, and many of those dermatologists now recommend and sell Elm in their practices.

Elm Pro is our professional channel: dermatology practices, plastic surgeons, med spas and licensed estheticians who sell Elm through wholesale accounts and practitioner affiliate links. In 2027 we're building Pro into a real second revenue engine, with field sales and clinical educators starting in the NY tri-state area and pro-specific products and programs to follow.

THE ROLE

You will be the operating backbone of Elm Pro and the person who makes our professional community feel looked after. Half of the job is sales operations: you own the systems, data, processes and account experience that let our sales team spend their time selling. The other half is community: you run the programs that turn 350+ advisors and a growing base of practices into an active, engaged network that recommends, reorders and refers.

This is a builder role. Much of Pro runs on spreadsheets, inboxes and Slack today. You'll put the foundation in place before the field team scales, and you'll grow with the channel.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Revenue operations (about 60%)

  • Own the Pro CRM. Choose, set up and maintain the CRM. Define pipeline stages, account and contact records, territories and data hygiene rules. Make sure every practice, provider and lead sits in one system of record.
  • Run lead routing and qualification. Triage inbound practitioner leads (wholesale applications, advisor sign-ups, practitioners who buy on our DTC site, event and referral leads, affiliate sign ups). Qualify them, enrich them and route them to the right rep or territory within 24 hours.
  • Oversee affiliate growth. Set and review outreach and performance targets for Pro affiliates. Set commission rates, ensure successful collateral shared, and align
  • Manage account onboarding end to end. Handle applications, credential and license verification, pricing tier setup, wholesale portal access, opening orders, welcome kits and first-reorder follow-up.
  • Handle orders and reorders. Work with ops, finance and our 3PL on wholesale order processing, invoicing, collections follow-up and backorder communication. Build reorder reminders and auto-replenishment for key accounts.
  • Report on the channel. Build and own the Pro dashboard and weekly reporting: revenue by account and territory, new doors, reorder rate, sell-through, pipeline, rep activity and commission. Prepare the monthly Pro business review. Include both Pro channels: Wholesale sales and Affiliate
  • Support channel policy. Maintain pricing tiers, MAP (minimum advertised price) and promo policy, and monitor compliance so practice pricing stays protected from DTC promotions.
  • Support the field team. Build territory plans and target lists, sales collateral libraries, sample and demo inventory tracking, and quota and commission calculations as we hire territory managers.
  • Forecast demand. Share Pro demand forecasts with operations so wholesale accounts don't run out of hero products. Our lead times are about five months.

Community management (about 40%)

  • Run the advisor and practitioner community. Own engagement with our 350+ dermatologist advisory board and the wider network of Pro providers, including onboarding new advisors, regular communications and a clear sense of what's in it for them.
  • Build the community program. Launch and run a Pro newsletter, a practitioner-only content hub, product launch briefings, early access and seeding for new launches, and recognition for top-performing practices.
  • Collateral: Manage creation of and production of collateral around business-as-usual and launch moments, both for sale and education
  • Coordinate education. Partner with clinical educators and our medical team to schedule and promote webinars, lunch-and-learns, in-office trainings and launch education. Track attendance and follow-up.
  • Run events. Plan Elm's presence at professional events and conferences (e.g. AAD, ASDS, regional derm and aesthetics meetings) and host advisor dinners and practice events. Make sure every event lead lands in the CRM.
  • Equip practices to sell. Get in-office displays, patient handouts, social assets and co-marketing kits to practices, and track usage.
  • Bring the voice of the professional back to Elm. Collect feedback, testimonials, before-and-after cases and product requests from practitioners. Share them with marketing, product development and the founders.
  • Manage practitioner social and content. Work with the brand and social team on practitioner spotlights and Pro-facing content, following our brand and medical claims guidelines.
  • Represent Pro in GTM. Represent needs of Pro as a channel and as a marketing engine within cross-functional initiatives. Source content from derms and other pros, and handle all communication for marketing
  • Serve as first point of contact for Pro accounts. Answer questions, resolve issues with CX and ops, and elevate when needed so practices get a premium, responsive experience.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN YEAR ONE
  • Every Pro account, advisor and lead lives in one CRM, with clean data and a weekly dashboard leadership trusts.
  • Inbound practitioner leads are qualified and routed within one business day, and nothing falls through the cracks.
  • New accounts are onboarded in under a week, with a documented, repeatable process.
  • Reorder rate and active-account count go up quarter over quarter.
  • The advisory board is measurably more active: event attendance, content participation, referrals and practices carrying Elm.
  • The field team spends its time in practices, not on admin.
ABOUT YOU
  • 4-7 years of experience in sales operations, account management, channel or wholesale operations, or community/professional relations, ideally in professional skincare, medical aesthetics, dermatology or prestige beauty.
  • You know how physician-dispensed and professional channels work: wholesale accounts, practice buyers, office managers, providers, reorders and education.
  • Strong CRM skills. You've set up or cleaned up a CRM, not just used one.
  • Very comfortable with data. You're strong in Excel or Google Sheets and can build clear reports that lead to decisions.
  • You build processes that work at a small company and keep working as it grows.
  • You're good with relationships: warm, credible and polished with dermatologists and practice owners, and organized enough to keep hundreds of relationships moving.
  • Clear, concise writing. You can write a practitioner newsletter or a sales SOP.
  • Comfortable in an early-stage, fast-moving company. You take ownership, you're resourceful and you're happy to roll up your sleeves.
  • Nice to have: experience with Shopify B2B/wholesale, affiliate platforms or event management; a license or background as an esthetician or in medical aesthetics.
