Job description

Maximus is seeking a Manager, Pricing. The successful candidate must have Federal Pricing experience and will be responsible for delivering and overseeing pricing aspects of Federal proposal submissions in response to Request for Proposals (RFPs). This position reports to the Senior Director of Federal Pricing and works closely with the Proposal Response Team. It is a remote position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Perform cost analysis and estimates for complex proposals, ensuring compliance with company policies, FAR, CAS, and solicitation requirements.
  2. Collaborate with capture/proposal teams on pricing strategy, risk identification, and interpreting solicitation requirements.
  3. Interface with auditors regarding cost proposals, providing support for direct and indirect costs.
  4. Participate in contract award negotiations as needed.
  5. Maintain current knowledge of the competitive environment.
  6. Participate in special projects as required.
  7. Read RFPs, prepare clarifying questions related to pricing.
  8. Validate pricing inputs from various divisions and compile consolidated prices.
  9. Identify financial risks, run what-if analyses, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  10. Work with the Price-To-Win team to develop realistic, compliant, and winning prices.
  11. Lead pricing strategy discussions and demonstrate thought leadership.
  12. Finalize accounting treatments for revenue and costs, estimating free cash flow, operating income, and net present value.
  13. Present key pricing highlights, risks, and mitigation strategies to the executive team.
  14. Assemble inputs for Federal Price/Business Volume documentation.
  15. Potentially manage and supervise staff, including mentoring and training.
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  2. 5-7 years of relevant professional experience, including Federal Pricing in complex proposals.
  3. Advanced knowledge of cost estimating principles, methods, and practices.
  4. Knowledge of federal procurement regulations and standards.
  5. Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
  6. Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  7. Ability to analyze at a micro-level and present findings at a high level.
  8. Experience interacting with executive management.
  9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  10. Ability to handle multiple tasks independently or in teams.
