Job summary

Prime Data Centers is seeking a Manager, Pre-Construction in Lockhart, TX to lead tenant fit-out planning and scheduling across multiple sites. You will coordinate design, procurement, and permit strategies to ensure buildable, schedule-driven execution before construction begins.

The role requires a strong background in data center pre-construction and a track record of leading teams through complex, multi-site projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of pre-construction experience in data center or mission-critical construction.
• Strong scheduling background with Primavera P6 or comparable tools.
• Experience with constructability reviews, value engineering, and long-lead procurement planning.
• Familiarity with permitting processes across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction planning for tenant fit-out projects, including master scheduling and procurement planning.
• Partner with Estimating and Design to develop buildable, schedule-aligned designs.
• Develop and maintain master project schedules for deployments across multiple sites.
• Lead constructability reviews and value engineering sessions with GC and subcontractors.
• Manage long-lead procurement planning to protect project schedules.
• Coordinate permitting strategy and AHJ requirements for fit-out scopes.
• Manage and mentor a team of pre-construction professionals.

About the role

The Manager, Pre-Construction leads pre-construction planning for tenant fit-out projects, including scheduling, constructability review, procurement planning, and permitting strategy. This role ensures TFO designs are translated into buildable, schedule-driven execution plans ahead of construction start.

What you'll do

Lead pre-construction planning for tenant fit-out projects, including master scheduling, constructability reviews, and procurement planning

Partner with Estimating and Design (Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, BIM) to develop buildable, schedule-aligned designs

Develop and maintain master project schedules for TFO deployments across multiple sites

Lead constructability reviews and value engineering sessions with general contractors and subcontractors

Manage long-lead procurement planning for tenant equipment and materials to protect project schedules

Coordinate permitting strategy and AHJ requirements specific to fit-out scopes

Manage and mentor a team of pre-construction professionals

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field

8+ years of pre-construction experience, ideally within data center or mission-critical construction

Strong scheduling background (e.g., Primavera P6 or comparable tools)

Experience with constructability reviews, value engineering, and long-lead procurement planning

Familiarity with permitting processes across multiple jurisdictions
