Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company is seeking a Senior Engineer to sponsor health of plant systems and optimize performance of the team’s systems for maximum station efficiency. You will engage Plant Support Engineers, lead outage teams, monitor systems, and direct actions to resolve performance issues.

The role requires an engineering degree (Mechanical preferred), knowledge of nuclear plant codes and planning, and PE registration is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) / related Science degree or equivalent work experience
• Detailed knowledge of power plant systems, specifically pumps, motors, and their auxiliary systems, including engineering principles associated with plant design and operation
• Extensive knowledge of Codes, standards, plant specific procedures and regulatory requirements governing the design and operation of nuclear power plants
• Knowledge of planning, scheduling and cost analysis
• Professional Engineering registration desired
• Strong overall business acumen

• Lead the station in troubleshooting, problem solving, and decision making
• Assist fleet counterparts in executing corrective actions and technical challenges
