Job summary

Silgan Closures New Castle, PA is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations at the New Castle manufacturing facility. You will manage benefits administration, safety program coordination, and regulatory compliance while fostering a positive, morale-boosting work environment.

The role requires strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws (ADA, ADEA, FMLA, OSHA, EEO) and at least five years of HR experience in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or labor relations preferred.
• Minimum 5 years related experience in HR, preferably in manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws including ADA, ADEA, FMLA, OSHA and EEO compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad range of Human Resources functions, including benefit administration and safety program coordination to ensure compliance and promote a positive work environment.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations (FMLA, OSHA, EEOC, immigration, DOL, ERISA).
• Manage unemployment and appeal hearings; supply information and participate in company representation.
• Conduct verbal or video orientation for each new employee; distribute and enter benefit enrollment information.
• Maintain hourly HR database; enter new employees, benefits, training, rate changes, and address changes.

What you’ll do:

What you’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, human resources or labor relations preferred.
• Minimum 5 years related experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, with human resources and labor relations work.
• Working knowledge of Federal, State and local employment laws, including ADA, ADEA, FMLA, OSHA, worker’s compensation, wage and hour laws, hiring practices, and EEO compliance. Ability to understand contractual language and Company policies.
