Job summary

Stored Energy Systems (SENS) in Longmont, CO, seeks a Manager of Planning & Scheduling to lead the production scheduling and operations planning team. You will own planning across product lines, mentor staff, and work with IT on SyteLine APS/MRP configurations to optimize capacity and schedule risk.

This leadership role drives on-time delivery, forecast accuracy, and inventory turns, partners with Sales and Production in S&OP, and shapes the planning function as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field with 8+ years in production or materials planning in manufacturing.
• Experience leading or mentoring others and strong people-management skills.
• Hands-on with ERP/MRP planning modules; SyteLine experience strongly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of MRP/APS concepts, BOMs, lead times, safety stock, capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the planning and scheduling team across all product lines.

SENS is seeking a Planning & Scheduling Manager to lead and grow our production scheduling and operations planning team. This role owns planning and scheduling performance across all product lines, manages the team members who execute day-to-day scheduling and planning work, and partners closely with the Director of Planning & Fulfillment on SyteLine's planning and scheduling system configuration (APS/MRP). This is a people-leadership role with real near-term impact: building and developing a team through a period of significant company growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the planning and scheduling team, including Master Scheduler and Operations Planner roles, with the team expected to grow as the company scales.
• Set performance expectations, coach, and support the professional growth and development of planning and scheduling team members.
• Own planning and scheduling performance across all product lines, including on-time delivery, schedule attainment, forecast accuracy, inventory turns, etc.
• Represent Planning & Fulfillment in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and supply-demand alignment discussions, bringing a cross-functional view of capacity, constraints, and schedule risk.
• Ownership of SyteLine's planning and scheduling configuration (APS/MRP settings, planning parameters, and capacity data) partnering with IT and the Director of Planning & Fulfillment on system standards and governance.
• Serve as the escalation point for scheduling conflicts and cross-functional priority decisions between Sales, Production, Procurement, and Customer Support that can't be resolved at the individual scheduler or planner level.
• Assist in scheduling duties & responsibilities in short-term as team and role grows as our processes develop.
• Drive root-cause problem-solving practices across the team, ensuring issues are documented and resolved at the source rather than patched.
• Build and maintain documentation, SOPs, and training materials for planning and scheduling processes.
• Lead recurring planning and scheduling performance reviews and tier meetings, representing Planning & Fulfillment to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
• Own headcount and team-structure planning for the planning and scheduling function, recommending when and where to add roles as the team and business scale; support hiring, onboarding, and training.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field, or an additional 4 years of relevant experience.
• 8+ years of experience in production scheduling, master scheduling, or materials/production planning in a manufacturing environment, including experience leading, mentoring, or managing others.
• People-management and/or leadership experience.
• Hands-on experience with an ERP/MRP system's planning and scheduling modules; SyteLine (Infor ERP) experience strongly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of MRP/APS concepts: bills of material, planning BOMs, lead times, safety stock, time fences, capacity planning, and exception messages.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose root cause in a complex system, and to lead others in doing the same.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills; able to represent Planning & Fulfillment to Sales, Production, Procurement, and Customer Support leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with Infor SyteLine APS/MRP configuration and capacity setup.
• Experience building or scaling a planning/scheduling team through a period of company growth.
• APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM or similar).
• Experience training or mentoring planners or schedulers on ERP system use.

Location: This position is located in Longmont, CO.

Base Compensation: $105,000 - $155,000 is the projected base salary range and will be determined by the candidate’s overall qualifications and experience.

Bonus: This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
