Position Summary

Do you want to use your skills to make an impact on a team and be a health care innovator? As a Specialty Pharmacy Operations Advisor, you will provide an enhanced level of service for our internal and external clients. You will support operations by identifying and fixing efficiencies, increasing satisfaction, and enhancing service opportunities. You will collaborate across Specialty Operations to maintain performance standards and ensure services are client and patient focused, demonstrating high-quality client service through accuracy, responsiveness, and professionalism.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
  1. Develop and maintain positive relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers and hubs to support Pharmacy Operations.
  2. Communicate daily with the Hub to address pharmacy operations inquiries and issues.
  3. Assist with patient and prescriber outreach to the Hub for select cases requiring same-day assistance.
  4. Coordinate with CVS specialty pharmacy locations, including CarePlus, to ensure same-day shipping for urgent cases (if identified before 3pm EST).
  5. Work with internal partners to ensure efficient handling of patients and clients.
  6. Coordinate status updates and pull-through with CarePlus on referrals sent to specialty for fulfillment.
  7. Develop relationships with prescribers, acting as a single point of contact with direct lines to prescriber offices.
  8. Facilitate meetings with key stakeholders and improve relations between prescribers and pharma.
  9. Occasional travel may be required to meet with Hub and Manufacturer quarterly for business reviews.

The successful candidate will interact with senior and management-level internal partners to clarify requirements and business needs. You must prioritize tasks to meet business needs, including managing team workload when necessary.

This is a work-from-home opportunity.

Required Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of Specialty Pharmacy Operations experience, including with specialty therapies, independent decision-making, workflow oversight, and project management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Strong presentation skills; proficient in MS PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate system and procedural changes effectively through written and oral communication.
  • Knowledge of therapy-specific practices, procedures, and principles.
  • Strong drug classification background and general drug knowledge.
  • Understanding of plan attributes related to member plan conflicts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Benefit Verification experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proven success in customer service and influencing business partners via interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
  • Deep knowledge of therapy-specific practices and drug classifications.
Education

Bachelor's degree preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Additional Details
  • Anticipated weekly hours: 40
  • Time type: Full-time
  • Pay range: $60,300 - $132,600 (base salary, depending on experience and other factors). Eligible for bonuses, commissions, or incentives.
