Responsible for planning, supervising, and evaluating patient care and nursing practice to ensure safe, effective, and efficient operations. Directs business, technical, and nursing support activities within the unit or clinic. Coordinates quality improvement initiatives, monitors performance metrics, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and resource utilization. Provides leadership, guidance, and accountability for staff and overall unit performance.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing, or a related field
3-5 years of experience in nursing or a relevant area. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part‑time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Based on area assigned: Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI), NIH Stroke scale certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
This position requires regular standing or walking with objects up to 10 pounds; intermittent standing or walking with objects up to 25 pounds; intermittent sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; performing tasks with intermittent repetitive motions (such as typing or patient care activities); intermittent lifting, pushing, and or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and occasional lifting, pushing, and or pulling objects over 50 pounds. Also involves intermittent risk of back injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; intermittent risk of injuries from use of equipment; occasional job‑related travel; occasional exposure to loud noises, temperature extremes, hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, burns, cuts or punctures, bloodborne or airborne pathogens, and interaction with combative or violent people.
