Job summary

Briggs Truck & Rail in Gainesville seeks a seasoned parts operations leader to own and optimize the parts department. You will organize the warehouse, improve inventory accuracy, manage stock levels, and implement efficient processes to support technicians and customers.

You will lead and develop a team, set clear expectations, and foster a safe, productive environment. You will drive sales, expand product offerings, and build vendor partnerships to fuel growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of parts or warehouse operations experience.
• 3–5 years of people leadership experience.
• Strong inventory management and operational organization.

What You’ll Do

• Build and improve our parts operation by organizing the warehouse, improving inventory accuracy, managing stock levels, and creating efficient processes that keep our technicians and customers moving.
• Lead, coach, and develop your team, setting clear expectations, encouraging accountability, and creating a safe, supportive environment where people can do their best work.
• Drive parts sales and business growth by building customer relationships, developing vendor partnerships, expanding product offerings, and identifying opportunities in new markets.
• Own department performance by managing monthly sales goals, inventory turnover, cycle counts, purchasing, and operational improvements while delivering dependable customer service.

What You’ll Bring

5+ years of parts or warehouse operations experience, ideally in Class A trucking, heavy‑duty equipment, or a related industry, along with 3–5 years of people leadership experience. Strong inventory management skills and the ability to bring organization, accuracy, and efficiency to a growing operation. A driven, adaptable leadership style with a willingness to roll up your sleeves, solve problems, hold people accountable, and help your team grow. Strong communication and customer service skills, comfort working with warehouse and inventory systems, and a high school diploma or equivalent.
