• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The Job

As the Manager – Packaging, Graphics and Manuals, you’ll be part of our Engineering Management team working as a Managerial (hybrid) employee. This role leads teams responsible for structural packaging design, product graphics, safety labeling, user manuals, and related product literature to support successful product launches. The position ensures packaging and communication materials meet customer, quality, regulatory, legal, and brand requirements while partnering cross‑functionally with Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Quality, Regulatory, Legal, and Operations. It also drives process improvement, workload prioritization, and change management to deliver accurate, compliant, and timely updates across the product lifecycle.

Lead and develop the teams responsible for structural packaging design and execution, on‑product decorative and branding graphics applications, safety and instructional labeling, user manuals, quick‑start guides, and related product literature. Ensure that new products have the right structural packaging engineering specifications to meet end‑customer requirements including transportation and drop test requirements. Collaborate with external suppliers to define, align on, and maintain packaging, labeling, and manual material specifications to ensure compliance with quality and business requirements. Establish team priorities, assign work, and manage workload across multiple product development programs to support on‑time product launches. Oversee the creation, review, and approval of packaging, labeling, and manual design and content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable regulatory, legal, safety, and brand requirements. Partner closely with Engineering, Product Management, Brand Marketing, Industrial Design, Quality, Regulatory, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure all product communication materials reflect final product specifications. Drive execution of structural packaging, manuals, and product labeling deliverables through the product development lifecycle, from concept through production release and post‑launch updates.

Maintain and improve processes, templates, workflows, and governance for packaging, labeling, and manuals development to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency across product lines. Manage change control for packaging, labeling, and manuals updates resulting from engineering changes, regulatory updates, quality issues, or product enhancements. Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

You also have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Marketing, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural packaging, labeling, technical documentation, or other related work experience within Consumer Products or a related industry.
• Leadership experience is required; experience leading teams is preferred.
• Experience working with cross‑functional product development teams in consumer products development environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Familiarity with safety and compliance requirements for consumer products is preferred.
• Experience with PLM, document management, or artwork workflow and approval systems is a plus.

Salary Range

The Salary range for this position is $110,600.00 - $178,000.00. This is the lowest to highest annual full‑time salary range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
