Job summary

Pioneer Academics is seeking an Outreach Manager to lead regional initiatives that boost applications from high school students. This hybrid/remote role focuses on designing events, building partnerships with schools and educators, and driving awareness across the US.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and manage regional outreach initiatives to drive applications.
  • Lead events, presentations and follow-up conversations for prospective students and families.

  • Monitor KPIs, provide feedback, and adjust strategies to improve outcomes.
  • Oversee travel and regional budget; recruit and mentor team members as needed.

Mission of the Position:

The Outreach Manager will report to the Director of Outreach. The mission of the role is to develop and implement regional outreach initiatives to achieve the organization's outreach goals. Pioneer attracts the highest caliber and most intellectually ambitious high school students to apply for its institutes. The Outreach Manager will design, implement and manage activities that drive awareness and applications from the top students. These activities include presentations, events, and follow-up conversations. The Outreach Manager will develop and maintain robust relationships with students, parents, educators, counselors, and schools in the US and possibly other countries, leading to more applications and enhanced experiences among all stakeholders. The role will be responsible for analyzing the market landscape and trends to identify opportunities and threats, and adjusting outreach strategies accordingly. The Outreach Manager will prepare regular reports for senior management that highlight achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement. The Outreach Manager will work closely with other departments such as Reputation Management, Admissions, and Scholar Success to ensure a cohesive approach to outreach and key stakeholder engagement. The role requires management of events with Pioneer prospective students, parents, alumni and other stakeholders. Additionally the Outreach Manager will be responsible for providing ongoing training and development to the team to enhance their knowledge and skills. The Outreach Manager may oversee the travel & regional budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and controlling expenses. The Manager will oversee discussions and agreements with key educational stakeholders to establish and formalize partnerships for the organization. The Outreach Manager will monitor full time or contractor specialists’ performance using KPIs, offer feedback, and implement necessary improvements. They may be involved in the recruitment, training, and mentorship of other team members to help them achieve their targets and perform at a high level.

Key Criteria/Requirement:
  • Student-centric mindset and passion for outstanding education experiences
  • Three to seven years of business development/sales/outreach experience, with a high preference for education related outreach experience with proven success.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills for working with students, faculty and educational administrators
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with ability to work independently as well as coordinating and supporting a team
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top100 college or university highly preferred
  • Proficiency in target setting, recruiting, training and developing new team members. Experience in developing and implementing business development strategies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Suite tools, web-conferencing platforms, and collaboration tools.
  • Demonstrates the dedication and ability to prioritize the needs of students, parents, and educators.
  • A learner’s mindset–the desire and ability to gain new knowledge and skills quickly.
  • Result oriented, should have the tenacity and creativity to navigate barriers and achieve success
