Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Practice Manager to lead clinical operations across potentially multiple offices. You will supervise the ophthalmic support team, drive quality improvements, and ensure protocols are followed while maintaining efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3 years experience in an ophthalmic office setting.
  • 3 years experience in a management role.
  • Knowledge of ophthalmic procedures.
  • COA or COT certification required upon hire.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Job description

  • Manage team members in an ophthalmic physician practice with potential multiple office locations
  • Oversee clinical performance and quality improvement activities
  • Develop and implement protocols and standard work
  • Assist with overall practice operations
  • Monitor patient flow and balance patient needs with resource utilization
  • Supervise clinical ophthalmologic support team members
  • Direct orientation, assignments, learning, competency, and care delivery of clinical ophthalmologic team members
  • Assess clinical needs in collaboration with the Practice Triad
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, protocols, and standards to improve care and patient outcomes
  • Respond to and resolve patient complaints
  • Maintain a complaint tracking mechanism and operate a service recovery system
  • Manage the clinical supply chain for medications and equipment in collaboration with the Practice Triad
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 3 years experience in an ophthalmic office setting
  • 3 years experience in a management role
  • Knowledge of ophthalmic procedures
  • COA - Certified Ophthalmic Assistant - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire or COT - Certified Ophthalmic Medical Tech - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting/standing
  • Frequent keyboard use
  • Patient care providers may be required to kneel, bend, squat, and perform CPR
