Job summary

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Manager, Operations to join our team. This position will ensure the Operations Department runs efficiently and seeks to continually improve processes, providing direction to staff to deliver superior quality service and product support for internal and external customers.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in a bank production environment, and ability to monitor performance through KPIs, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and SOX

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years in a bank production environment or 3+ years in a First Merchants bank production role.
• Experience managing a team of associates.
• Bachelor's degree in business, management, accounting or related field preferred.

• Lead staff: hiring, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
• Continually review processes for efficiency improvements.
• Maintain procedures and controls for regulatory requirements and SOX.

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Manager, Operations to join our team! This position will be responsible for ensuring the Operations Department runs efficiently and seeks to continually improve processes. Provide direction to the operations staff to ensure delivery of superior quality service and product support for internal and external customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage staff, conduct interviews and make hiring decisions, hire and mentor staff and evaluate performance.
• Continually review processes for improvement opportunities to enhance the department's efficiency.
• Maintain sound procedures and process controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and SOX key controls.
• Identify, track, evaluate and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) that monitor department performance and address any improvements required.

In order to be successful in this position, we require the following:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• A minimum of five (5) years in a bank production environment or related experience, or a minimum of three (3) years in a First Merchants bank production role.
• Experience managing a team of associates.

The following would be a plus:

• Bachelor's degree in business, management, accounting or related field.
