Job Description: Office Manager at University of Houston

We are hiring immediately for a full-time Manager, Office position at the University of Houston, located at 4700 Calhoun Road, Suite 102, Houston, TX 77204. Online applications are accepted only.

About the Role

Responsible for overall office activities, including managing records, costs, compliance, and support documentation.

Responsibilities
  1. Analyze and organize office operations such as bookkeeping, payroll, personnel files, and clerical services.
  2. Prepare reports for management, including financial, labor, and turnover data.
  3. Establish correspondence procedures and ensure consistent communication style.
  4. Audit cash transactions, deposit funds, and prepare financial statements.
  5. Review records for compliance and accuracy.
  6. Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance.
  7. Develop resources and redesign workflows for efficiency.
  8. Plan office layout, develop budgets, and initiate cost-saving measures.
  9. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned.
