Fitness International is seeking an experienced, innovative, and highly motivated Manager of Studio Operations and Programming to lead the strategic growth, operational excellence, and continuous evolution of our studio businesses nationwide.
This newly created leadership role will oversee programming, coach recruitment and development, operational excellence, and quality control across existing and future studio concepts. The ideal candidate combines hands-on coaching experience with operational leadership, bringing the ability to establish standards and deliver a consistent, high-quality member experience across all locations.
This role is ideal for a builder who thrives in creating structure, developing talent, and driving continuous improvement. As the studio business grows, the Manager will help build the team, processes, and infrastructure needed to support long-term success nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
Programming & Product Development
- Research industry trends and identify opportunities to enhance existing offerings and develop new concepts.
- Oversee the execution, evaluation, and continuous improvement of studio programming across all concepts.
- Establish standards for class design, coaching delivery, member engagement, and program effectiveness.
- Develop processes to maintain programming consistency and quality across locations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and scale studio programming initiatives.
Coach Recruitment, Development & Performance
- Design and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy for studio coaches.
- Establish structured onboarding, training, certification, and continuing education programs.
- Create and maintain coaching standards, performance expectations, and evaluation processes.
- Conduct regular audits, observations, and performance reviews to ensure a consistent member experience.
- Build a pipeline of coaching talent to support continued growth.
Operations & Quality Assurance
- Develop and implement operating standards, policies, and procedures for studio environments.
- Create systems that drive consistency, accountability, and operational excellence across all markets.
- Monitor key performance indicators related to utilization, member experience, coaching effectiveness, and operational performance.Identify operational gaps and implement scalable solutions.
- Partner with field leadership teams to ensure successful execution at the club level.
Team Development
- Build the organizational framework necessary to support a growing studio platform.
- Recruit, develop, and mentor future leaders within the business.
- Establish a scalable support structure capable of supporting studio growth nationwide.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required
- Hands-on coaching experience in group fitness, HIIT, strength training, performance training, or similar coaching environments.
- Experience developing fitness programming, coaching standards, and class delivery systems.
- Proven success recruiting, onboarding, developing, and managing coaches, trainers, or fitness professionals.
- Strong operational management, project leadership, and organizational skills.
- Experience creating systems, processes, and scalable business practices.
- Ability to analyze performance metrics and implement solutions that drive operational excellence.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
- Ability to travel nationally.
Preferred
- Experience overseeing multiple studio or fitness locations.
- Experience collaborating with corporate departments including Payroll, Legal, Human Resources, Marketing, and Information Technology to support operational initiatives, program growth, compliance, and system implementation.
- Experience creating coach education, certification, onboarding, or quality assurance programs.
- Nationally recognized fitness certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, CFSC, or equivalent).
- Experience launching, scaling, or improving fitness programs and operational models.
- Experience partnering with marketing teams to support promotional campaigns, member engagement strategies, events, and studio growth initiatives.

Compensation
Starting at $75,000 - $85,000 annually with opportunity for growth and advancement.
